How do I log in?
Check your inbox for an email from Legal Island or your organisation which will include your log in details and steps on how to access your courses. If you do not have an email address, your log in details will be sent to the designated contact within your organisation, to pass on to you.

Can I use another employee’s log in details if I can’t find mine?
No, you must use your own username and password. Each employee has their own unique username and password as the learning platform tracks the courses that employees complete to provide a record of their personal learning and to provide reports for compliance purposes.
I’ve lost / forgotten my log in details or password.
If you can’t remember your log in details, click on the Login button then in the Returning Users box, click Forgotten your username or password? Enter your username or your email address and if we have you registered on our system an email will be sent with further instructions. Follow the link in the email you receive, and the system will allow you to reset your password and gain access to the module. If you don’t receive an email with a link check your Spam/Junk folder.

How do I know which course to complete?
After you log in, the course you need to complete is on your delegate dashboard in the middle of your screen. Once you click on the title you’ll see the objectives of the course and a link to begin.
I can’t see my course on the delegate dashboard what should I do?
After you log in, the course you need to complete is on your delegate dashboard in the middle of your screen under learning resources. If there is no course visible, change the filter under the title learning resources to ‘ALL’. Every course you are enrolled in will appear on the screen. If your course isn’t there, please contact our Helpdesk under the Support tab at the top of your screen.
My course won’t start what should I do?
Close all other programs that are open on your desktop & ensure that you have enabled Pop-Ups on your browser.
I can’t hear any sound, what should I do?
Legal Island courses do not have audio, except in videos or sound clips. To hear the videos, check to make sure that your speakers and/or headphones are plugged in correctly and the volume is turned up. For PC users make sure that your mute box is unchecked on the taskbar at the bottom of your screen. For Mac users, you can adjust the volume by pressing the volume keys on the keyboard.
How long will the course take me to complete?
Our courses are designed for you to take them at your own pace. Most people complete the course and assessment within 60 minutes. You might find you can complete it more quickly or you might like to take your time and revisit sections to absorb all the information. Either way, you can stop and start the course as many times as you need to until you reach the assessment which must be done in one go. Don’t worry, your course will remember where you left off, so you won’t have to start each time from the beginning.
Do I have to complete an assessment?
Yes. Legal Island courses have a short assessment at the end of the course which have a pass mark of 80%. We will let you know when you are about to start your assessment.
How do I close my course when I am finished?
After all your hard work, you want to make sure your score is registered correctly for your employer. To do this, make sure you close out of the course correctly by clicking on the ‘Close course’ link in the middle of your screen or the exit course link at the top of your screen. You should never exit by closing your browser.
How do I log out of the Learning Platform?
After you have completed your course and returned to the learning platform, you can log out of the learning platform by simply closing your browser or choosing the log-out link under your profile at the top right of your screen.
Do I get a certificate when I pass the assessment?
Yes. Once you have completed the assessment and passed your course, your certificate will be emailed directly to your inbox. And just in case it falls into your email spam folder; you can also find all your certificates by clicking the ‘Dashboard’ tab and choosing ‘My certificates’
My certificate has a spelling mistake, how can I change it?
To have your certificate updated, please email our support team at eLearning@legal-island.com. You will need to:
- Attach a copy of your certificate to the email.
- Explain the changes that you require.
To prevent future certificates from being incorrect, you can update your details in the Profile section in the top right corner of your screen, beside your name. Click the down arrow then choose Profile from the dropdown list. Chose edit profile, then update the necessary details. To save the changes, scroll to the bottom of the page and chose update profile.
Do I need to send a copy of my certificate to Legal Island or my employer?
You don’t have to send a copy of your certificate to Legal Island, however, your employer may want a copy. Please speak to your HR contact to confirm this.
I don’t have an email address how will I receive my certificate?
Once you have completed the assessment and passed your course you can find all your certificates by clicking the ‘Dashboard’ tab and choosing ‘My certificates’.
I deleted my email with the certificate attached, can I get a copy of my certificate?
If your account is still active, you can log in and can find all your certificates by clicking the ‘Dashboard’ tab and choosing ‘My certificates’. If your account is no longer active, use the Contact Us link at the bottom of the log in page or email eLearning@legal-island.com and our friendly team will support you.
I have left the organisation I used to work for, can I still get access to my certificates?
When you left the organisation your access to the learning platform was disabled. Please contact the HR department in your previous organisation to discuss if it is possible to receive a copy of your certificates from their records.
