- ChatGPT Settings: Barry demonstrated how to turn off the training function in ChatGPT to ensure data protection, emphasising the importance of this step for the team's use of the tool.
- Customising ChatGPT: Barry explained how to customise ChatGPT by providing job titles and learning preferences, which helps the tool better assist users in their tasks.
- Data Protection Rules: Barry outlined the two golden rules for using ChatGPT at Legal Island: turning off the training function and not entering personal or commercially sensitive data.
- Golden Rule 1: Barry emphasised the first golden rule: turning off the training function to prevent data from being used for training purposes.
- Golden Rule 2: Barry highlighted the second golden rule: not entering personal or commercially sensitive data into ChatGPT to avoid potential data breaches.
- Examples of Sensitive Data: Barry provided examples of personal data (phone numbers, home addresses, email addresses) and commercially sensitive data (strategy reports, partnership agreements) that should not be entered into ChatGPT.
